SUMMARY DESCRIPTION


As Regional Sales Director, you will drive success of your region by guiding, focusing, and motivating an indirect sales team of Manufacturer’s Representatives to successfully market RenewAire’s products through a network of wholesale HVAC distributors and commercial HVAC sales offices. Candidates must be willing to travel 50% of the time.

What You'll Do

  • Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Plans and reviews compensation strategies.
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepares and completes action plans and implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines regional sales system improvements, and implements change when necessary.
  • Meets regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities or product, packaging, and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.
  • Participate in the annual marketing vehicle sales training in the territory.

Management of Assigned Region

  • Annually develop, propose, and execute an aggressive regional Sales Plan for the assigned region
  • Drive and exceed assigned sales quota
  • Drive corporate sales initiatives throughout the assigned region
  • Develop and oversee the performance for the assigned region

Rep Management

  • Manage Manufacturer’s Representatives or wholesaler groups in an effective and efficient manner
  • Establish Representative sales goals and objectives for each firm
  • Recruit, hire and train new firms as necessary
  • Act as mentor and coach and meet with each Representative firm’s management regularly

Business Development

  • Assist in major account identification, penetration, and development as necessary
  • Assist in building and developing indirect Channel Partners / Alliances and programs as necessary
  • Participate in trade shows as directed
  • Attend and participate in annual RenewAire Sales Conference
Requirements:

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related experience in a technical sales capacity
  • Must know sales management practices and techniques
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer software skills Microsoft Office pack (Excel – Word – PowerPoint)
  • Product configurator understanding
  • Motivation for multi-level sales
  • Team leadership and management skills of channel reps
  • Territory management
  • Tradeshow management and execution
  • Territory performance management against business plans
  • Strong presentation & communications skills
  • Building relationships with channel partners and industry influencers

  • HVAC Industry and Energy Recovery Ventilation product knowledge is preferred
